Why Sleep in Africa Exists
My deep love for this extraordinary continent inspired me to create a platform that makes discovering Africa easier and more accessible.
In 2018, I founded Sleep in Africa after realizing how difficult it was to find reliable information about destinations and accommodations across Africa compared to other regions of the world. While travelers could easily access inspiration and booking options elsewhere, Africa's incredible hospitality offerings often remained hidden from view.
What began as an Instagram-based inspiration platform quickly grew into a curated showcase of unique stays across the continent. Almost every day, I shared remarkable properties, boutique lodges, eco-retreats, and authentic accommodations that reflected the richness, diversity, and creativity of African hospitality.
My mission was simple: to reveal an Africa that goes far beyond international hotel chains and to celebrate the people, places, and experiences that make the continent truly exceptional.
